A dead whale was found in the lagoon at Maraa, Papara, along with its calf on Sunday morning. The mother did not survive and is expected to be removed from the lagoon on Tuesday morning. The calf has moved offshore, but its chances of survival are slim. Swimming bans remain in effect.
