In Lahore, a traffic police officer is shown picking up and leading away a woman who was begging in front of the city's railway station. The item is a brief photo caption rather than a full report, so it offers little beyond what the picture shows. The railway station is one of the busiest spots in the city, and street begging there has been a long-running problem for authorities. Officers periodically try to clear beggars from such locations while crowds of travelers pass through. The caption does not say whether the woman faced any charges, was taken to a shelter or was simply moved along. The wider circumstances of the incident are left untold in the short note.
