As winter sets in, farmers in Sankhuwasabha and Tehrathum have moved yak and chauri cattle sheds down from higher areas to lower ground. The sheds were brought down from upper areas including Nunadhaki and Madi in Sankhuwasabha, and Srijung and Morahang in Tehrathum, to escape the cold. The high-altitude cattle sheds are left deserted while activity shifts to the lower areas.
