New Iraqi-Armenian Business Council Planned
Iraq and Armenia have agreed to create a joint business council to encourage trade between the two countries. The decision followed a meeting in Baghdad between Dr. Malik al-Durai'i, who heads private sector development at Iraq's Trade Ministry, and a visiting Armenian delegation. The ministry said the body would give companies on both sides a formal channel for cooperation. Details on how the council will operate have not yet been published.
