Tajikistan's newest juice plant, located in the Rasht valley, processes only a small slice of the fruit the country grows each year. Much of the national harvest never reaches a processor, a gap the plant's modest intake makes plain. There is a long way to go before the industry comes close to using what the orchards produce.
