Eye surgeries to be offered in Hinterland regions
Guyana's National Ophthalmology Hospital at Port Maurant has cleared its entire surgical backlog and now plans to take eye surgery to the hinterland regions. Dr. Saif Alli, the ophthalmologist in charge, shared the update with the Department of Public Information. The push would bring treatment closer to patients living in remote communities who currently face long trips for care.
