'Not unrealistic': Telok Blangah jumbo flat listed for more than $2.1m with 91-year lease remaining

A jumbo flat in Telok Blangah has been listed for sale at an asking price of $2.18 million.The 1,465 sq ft unit at Block 93B Telok Blangah Street 31 is part of Telok Blangah Parcview, a 1,480-unit Build-To-Order (BTO) project completed in end-2017.Checks by AsiaOne show that the jumbo flat is made up of two three-room flats. According to the listing, the unit has five bedrooms and four bathrooms, is fully furnished and has a high-quality integrated audio system.Despite the list price exceeding the current resale record of $1.73 million, set by a five-room Bukit Merah flat by nearly $400,000, the realtor handling the listing told AsiaOne in an interview on Sunday (Sept 20) that it is not unrealistic."A jumbo flat may not be uncommon, but one with 91 years remaining on its lease and in Telok Blangah is probably one of its kind now," said PropNex's Thomas Tong.Asked how interest in the unit has been since its listing on Sept 18, he described it as "very positive".
