$3b money laundering auction: Lawyer shows off Chanel jewellery, Dior bags she bought
A lawyer recently showed off her haul of luxury goods, including Chanel jewellery and a Dior handbag, from an online auction of items seized in Singapore's $3 billion money laundering case.In an Instagram video on Sept 30, Debbie Brittany Lim shared how she had won six lots of Chanel and Dior items after "randomly checking out" the auction. “Just being a patriotic citizen by contributing to the government’s consolidated fund and casually acquiring a tiny piece of Singapore’s history from the $3 billion money laundering case,” Lim teased in her caption. The items she bought include two Chanel brooches and two necklaces, a Dior vanity case and a limited-edition Dior bag.In the video, she showed the Chanel items, saying that they felt like they came "straight out of a police seizure” because the items came without their original boxes. One of the necklaces, however, came complete with its box, which led Lim to think that the item was unused. The vanity box also appeared to be in good condition, she noted.
