The United Nations reported that more than 7,000 people were killed or wounded in the recent Houthi escalation in Yemen, including about 1,300 children killed. It said Taiz is under a suffocating Houthi siege and has become isolated from the world. The UN also cited random shelling of residential neighborhoods, and the World Health Organization issued a new report.
