Ghana is now handling roughly forty percent of the oil that Burkina Faso moves across its borders, according to the energy minister. This share has risen from fifteen percent two years earlier. The increase reflects an expanded role for Ghana in regional petroleum logistics.
Ghana is facilitating the transportation of approximately 40% of Burkina Faso’s petroleum products, up from 15% two years ago, Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Dr John Abdulai Jinapor, has disclosed.
