East-West Seed Foundation opens University of Ghana Learning Farm to provide hands-on agricultural training
The East-West Seed Knowledge Transfer Foundation has opened a learning farm at the University of Ghana in Accra. The site is intended to give university students hands-on instruction in vegetable production. Local farmers are also expected to take part in the practical training offered there. The program gives agricultural partners a chance to observe the foundation’s work and the methods used at the farm. By placing instruction on an operating site, the initiative links classroom learning with field experience. Details about enrollment, the crops grown and the training schedule have not been announced.
