Pakistan's cyber crime watchdog has arrested 24 suspects during operations carried out in several cities. The actions spanned Lahore, Faisalabad and Multan. They were run on the orders of Aatif Aamir, additional director of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency's Lahore zone. In Faisalabad, investigators raided two illegal call centres and detained 19 people on the spot. Further arrests were made in Multan, where the agency targeted activity conducted online. The sweep forms part of a wider push against cyber crime driven from the agency's Lahore command. Officials have not yet detailed the charges each suspect will face or what was gathered during the raids.
