Massad Boulos, senior adviser to the US president for Arab and African affairs, said the countries in the Quad mechanism on Sudan agreed to use their communication channels and influence, collectively or individually, to contact the two warring sides and active forces in the country. The aim is to reach a negotiated settlement that ends the fighting. In two posts on X, Boulos stressed that there is no military solution to the conflict.
