Non-governmental organizations and political party representatives from Ardahan and Artvin are requesting a tunnel. They want the tunnel to be built under the Sahara Pass, also known as the Çam Pass. The pass is located at an altitude of 2,470 meters. Current transportation is disrupted during the winter months. The goal is to prevent these disruptions.
