The Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to Turkey regarding the muftis of Thrace. The ministry stated that the Muslim Minority of Thrace consists of Greek citizens. It noted that this minority is a religious group rather than a national one. The government views the minority as an inseparable part of Greek society.
