Etosha fires contained as 16% of park burns
Staff from the ministry, Namibian Defence Force, and Ongava worked together to suppress threatening fires at Etosha National Park. This joint effort included assistance from surrounding farms and conservancies. All fires were under control by Saturday evening. Aerial observations conducted on Sunday morning confirmed there were no remaining threats. Approximately 16% of the park burned during the events.
