The removal of a commemorative plaque for Aleks Nika during a protest in Tirana on October 25 has caused renewed pain for his family. Mark Nika, the uncle of the deceased, stated that he does not know who took the plaque from the site. The plaque was located where his nephew was killed on January 21, 2011. Despite not knowing who removed the marker, the uncle says the family knows who killed Aleks.
