Party sources in Tangier say several parties have begun early arrangements and undeclared coordination to prepare for partial elections in the Tangier-Assilah district or for a full re-run of the elections. The moves come amid continuing controversy over the “sack” and “forged papers” case. Eight people are being held in detention in connection with the case, including the city’s mayor, identified as Mounir Laimouri.
