Energy Minister Shrestha stressed regional cooperation and the use of technology to deal with geohazards. He drew attention to recent major disasters caused by an avalanche in Langtang Lirung and a landslide in the Budhigandaki area. He also highlighted the loss of lives and property and the impact on hydropower projects under construction.
