The Ban Devi temple in Hetauda is seen as a witness to the area's settlement history. According to Harihar Dhakal, chair of the temple conservation committee, the forest there was cleared around 2007 BS as settlements were established. The temple was set up in 2008 BS, and worship has been held there since then.
हेटौँडामा बस्ती बसाउने सन्दर्भमा २००७ सालतिर यहाँको जङ्गल फडानी भएकोमा २००८ सालदेखि वनदेवीको मन्दिर स्थापना गरी पूजाआजा गरिँदै आएको वनदेवी मन्दिर संरक्षण समितिका अध्यक्ष हरिहर ढकालले जानकारी दिए ।
