Opposition Leader Azruddin Mohamed called for the government to control the prices of basic food items. This request comes as prices for basic consumer goods continue to rise. The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry disagreed with the proposal. The chamber scoffed at the idea of price controls.
