Five miners were killed when a mining well collapsed in the Samna area of Wadi Halfa locality in Northern State, according to the media office of the Ibri administrative unit. Some miners are still trapped under the rubble of the well. Efforts are under way to provide machinery to rescue them. The announcement also referred to militia attacks on mining areas.
