Public debt has crossed 30 kharba, with each Nepali carrying a debt burden of more than 1 lakh rupees, according to the headline. In the first three months of the current fiscal year, the government borrowed 1 kharba 23 arba rupees. It repaid 77 arba 74 crore rupees during the same period.
