A seminar in Marib, organized Thursday by the Program for Communication with Yemeni Scholars, called for urgent action to lift the Houthi siege on Taiz and protect civilians. Titled “Taiz siege is a Houthi crime and the duty to support,” it brought together scholars, preachers and researchers. Participants discussed the humanitarian, religious and legal dimensions of the siege and the responsibilities toward residents, including Islamic law’s position on siege and the duty to support.
