Taiz University’s council decided to suspend study and exams in all colleges and centers of its branch in Turbah city starting Friday, October 30, 2026, until further notice. The decision followed the kidnapping of a student from inside the campus by a militia. The council said the kidnapping raised fears and anxiety among students and their parents about their safety.
