Kenya's National Assembly Speaker has issued a warning regarding the payment of salaries for East African Legislative Assembly members. There is a plan to transfer these payments to national parliaments by December 2027. However, the Speaker stated that this process cannot move forward under current conditions. He argued that the EAC Treaty must be amended first to allow the change.
