A dispute has grown over a property tied to the well-known Hyatt Regency hotel unit, which the Casablanca commune is seeking to sell to the hotel's owner for no more than 1,000 dirhams per square meter. Traders from the model market known as the "African Market" in the city center have now entered the case. The Caravan Development Association for Model Market Traders wrote to the head of the Casablanca commune, Nabila Rmili, seeking to acquire the land in question.
