Actress Markéta Holcmanová was not selected for the Thalia award this year. Nevertheless she will receive the Applause prize as the most beloved performer at the Zlín theater. The announcement came as a surprise to her. She described her upbringing as calm and family‑oriented. After that background she has stepped back into the demanding environment of the stage. She says she is reborn with each new role she takes on.
