Starting tomorrow drivers will be required to keep their daytime running lights on. The rule does not equate the daytime lights with the full illumination needed for night driving or poor visibility. On many vehicles the LED daytime lights operate independently of the rear lights. Drivers must therefore ensure that tail lights are also activated when needed, otherwise they may face fines.
