The National Chamber of Travel Bus Owners launched a humanitarian initiative to move citizens free of charge within Khartoum state. The aim is to ease hardship and reduce congestion at bus stations. Khartoum also announced measures to ease the transport crisis, including moving passengers at half price. Mohamed Salah, head of the chamber's operations department, said the initiative runs in the morning and evening and covers the most crowded areas of southern Khartoum, including Kalakla.
