Ibrahim Baqqal, a former media official with the Rapid Support Forces, urged Sovereignty Council head Lt. Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan to stop accepting more defectors from the militia. He criticized what he called exaggerated claims by some returnees about the number of troops and vehicles they had brought with them. According to Al-Tayyar, Baqqal called for closing the door to further defections. In his appeal, he also asked for 50 vehicles and said he would reach El Fasher within three months.
