Cambodia's National Archives preserves tens of thousands of documents from the French protectorate era to the present, acting as a repository for the country's administrative history. Some of the documents are at risk of damage because of their age and environmental factors. National Archives officials are continuing work to rescue Khmer historical records dating back to the French era.
