The director of the National Institute of Human Rights, Ljubetic, criticized a project aimed at reforming the organization. He stated the proposal has serious deficiencies. He believes certain provisions compromise essential characteristics of the institution. Ljubetic mentioned that President Piñera never intended to cut the body's powers.
"Este es un proyecto que adolece de serias deficiencias y que algunas de sus disposiciones ponen en grave compromiso características sin las cuales una Institución Nacional de Derechos Humanos, aquí o la quebrada del ají, deja de tener sentido", criticó el director del organismo.
