During Tihar and Dipawali, homes prepare with twinkling lights, garlands, sweets and fireworks. In the evening the sky turns colorful and the sound of firecrackers fills the air while people enjoy the noise and light. The same celebration is not joyful for everyone: for dogs and other pets, the firecracker sounds bring fear.
