Chinese forces advanced several kilometers into the Indian border, according to an international journal cited in the report. The journal described the Indian border force's helplessness before China as a severe blow to the Modi government's defense policy and said the border failure was clear evidence of a weak defense strategy. It also cited the Chinese army's professional expertise in border areas.
