The Punjab Assembly in India passed a unanimous resolution demanding that the Kartarpur corridor be opened immediately. The resolution says the Modi government has kept the corridor continuously closed, badly affecting the religious rights of millions of Sikhs living in India. According to Kashmir Media Service, the closure deliberately suppresses the legitimate religious wishes of ordinary Sikh citizens.
