Retrenchments totalled 3,830 or 1.6 per 1,000 employees in 1Q 2026, a slight increase from 4Q 2025 at 3,690 or 1.5 per 1,000 employees.The number of job vacancies fell from 77,700 in December 2025 to 73,300 in March 2026.This compares with 80,100 vacancies in March 2025.
