My real reason for celebrating Father’s Day

I used to not get Father's Day. Even in the early days of finally being a dad, I didn't quite understand it. There's the obvious reason: As far as the birthing process is concerned, the man's job is pretty much the best and most enjoyable job. It lasts a night---though if we're really honest, less than an hour. That's it. There's no nine months of dizzy spells, morning sickness, an unshakeable feeling of being bloated, hard-to-satisfy cravings, morning sickness, unrelenting fatigue and then even more morning sickness. And at the end of nine months, you're not the one being wheeled into an operating room and getting stuck with fat needles and then getting cut up....Keep on reading: My real reason for celebrating Father’s Day

She is Tanya in the Netflix Original series «Arthdal Chronicles.» She is a priestess-in-training and Great-Mother-in-the-making of the Wahan Tribe that adopted Eunseom (Song Joong-ki). In our interview, we had to ask her how she chooses the roles that she is going to play. "I actually focus on the charm of the character when I'm choosing the drama.   SEOUL---We ran into Song Joong-ki a few minutes before the press conference of Netflix Original «Arthdal Chronicles» started. And we almost did not recognize him. Mainly because he looked younger than when he starred in «Descendants of the Sun.» His long hair contributed in making him look like a boy. He was wearing pants, white sneakers and a multicolored Wooyoungmi woolen jumper that costs $500 at retail. There was no posse and he walked confidently into the lobby of the ballroom of the Imperial Palace Hotel meters ahead of what looked like the security detail provided for him. He turned his head when he heard a couple of girls gasping and giggling in one corner. Th...Keep on reading: Surviving Song Joong-ki’s smile

Kyrgyz leader delivers speech at CICA summit in Dushanbe

Bishkek, June 15, 2019. /Kabar/. Together we can find a solution to challenges we face in preserving peace and security, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov said speaking at the Fifth Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The Kyrgyz leader noted that the Kyrgyz Republic firmly adheres to the goals and principles of the Meeting on Strengthening Mutual Confidence and Regional Security, his press service reported. He noted that the First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, having shown political foresight, has proposed in 1992 to convene a meeting on Confidence-Building Measures in Asia. The initiative was supported by a number of Asian states and the United Nations. Since then, with the efforts of our countries, this platform of cooperation has been developing and strengthening. “The world doesn't stand still. Today's realities dictate the need to improve our interaction in security policy, challenges and threats, the economy and sustainable development. In this regard, we support Kazakhstan's initiative to establish an Organization for Security and Development in Asia on the basis of the CICA,” Sooronbay Jeenbekov said. The Kyrgyz President expressed his conviction that Asia needs to deepen cooperation to ensure comprehensive development at the bilateral and multilateral levels. “We have good positive examples of confidence building measures in the political and economic spheres. I am referring to the ongoing meetings and unique formats of the following integration associations. Firstly, it is the established interaction between the heads of Central Asian states. Secondly, we have a positive experience of Eurasian Economic Union, which is positioned as a rapidly growing integration association. Recently we have celebrated its five-year anniversary in Nur-Sultan. Third, the idea of promoting global economic objectives on the Silk Road is gaining increasing support in the world. We are ready to unleash further the potential of cooperation within the framework of the One Belt, One Road,” Sooronbay Jeenbekov said. He stressed that the reasons for the convening of the Conference remained relevant for Central Asia and that the processes taking place in the Asian region dictated the need to combine efforts to find effective responses to challenges and threats. “The Kyrgyz Republic strongly condemns terrorism and extremism in all its forms and manifestations. As an active participant in the fight against extremism and terrorism, we have adopted a relevant State program. We have defined a clear algorithm of joint actions of public authorities and the whole society to counter extremism and terrorism,” the head of state said. “We seek to contribute to the common cause of the UN to ensure peace, global security and sustainable development. We are ready to continue to making efforts in joint actions in the fight against new challenges and threats,” he added. “The UN General Assembly resolution on preventing radiation threat in Central Asia, which was initiated by Kyrgyzstan, was adopted. We look forward to further cooperation in environmental protection in bilateral and multilateral formats. I would like to express my gratitude to our allies Russia, Kazakhstan and foreign partners, who provide us with substantial support in addressing the problem of uranium tailings,” Jeenbekov said. In conclusion, Jeenbekov expressed confidence that the role and importance of this Organization will grow and strengthen, and its relevance only grow.
