The leader of the Sudanese paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, accused Egypt of being involved in airstrikes on the group's troops. The Egyptian foreign ministry denied the accusations.

Hurricane Milton brought floods and damaging wind to central and northern Florida Thursday, destroying homes and leaving at least four people dead and more than 3 million without power. The storm weakened and was moving away from Florida’s Atlantic coast Thursday morning.

The southeastern U.S. state of Florida braced Wednesday for the arrival of powerful Hurricane Milton amid warnings of heavy rains, strong winds and life-threatening storm surge. The center of the storm was expected to make landfall late Wednesday or early Thursday.
