Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) councillors staged a walkout from Tuesday’s meeting of the Kingston and St Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) after Councillor Lorraine Dobson of the Springfield Division was elected deputy mayor. The walkout followed heated exchanges between JLP and People’s National Party (PNP) councillors over whether the election process complied with the KSAMC’s standing orders.
