Parliament and Council negotiators reached agreement on the revision of the 2012 Victims' Rights Directive on 10 December 2025. The revised text strengthens the rights, support and protection of victims of crime, in particular by facilitating the reporting of crimes and improving the support services to victims with specific needs.
