The 2027 annual EU budget will be the last one under the current multiannual financial framework (MFF), which covers the period from 2021 to 2027. The European Parliament is contributing to the preparation of next year's budget through a set of guidelines, and the Commission will adopt the draft 2027 budget in early summer. The draft guidelines, as adopted by the Committee on Budgets (BUDG) on 5 March 2026, express Parliament's commitment to deliver for people, the economy and the planet.
