The Ministry of Agriculture in cooperation with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China is providing three weeks training aimed at augmenting agricultural production. Mendefera, 10 December 2018- The Ministry of Agriculture in cooperation with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China is providing three weeks training aimed at augmenting agricultural production. The training that is being provided by Chinese experts in Dubaruwa is focused on quality seeds, traditional fertilizer, modern way of cultivation and others related to agricultural production. Agricultural experts from the six regions of the country are taking part. At the commencement of the training on 28 November, Mr. Yang Zigang, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, commending the progress of the more than a quarter of a century official relations in various sectors between Eritrea and China, said that the training that is being conducted the first of its kind in Africa attests to the good relations between the two countries. Mr. Bereke Okbaselasie, director of Seeds and Crops Development at the Ministry of Agriculture, indicated that the Government of Eritrea is giving utmost priority in the human resources development and productivity and called on the trainees to take advantage of the training and transfer the knowledge they gain to their colleagues. The trainees on their part said that the training will have significant contribution in upgrading their skill and expressed conviction that they will practically apply the knowledge they acquire.
