La Asociación Nacional de Fútbol Profesional (ANFP) confirmó la suspensión del encuentro que disputarían Deportes Limache y Ñublense este sábado desde las 20:00 horas en el Estadio «Lucio Fariña». Dos personas fallecieron la tarde de este sábado en la comuna de Panguipulli, Región de Los Ríos, luego de que un árbol cayera sobre el vehículo en el que se desplazaban, impulsado por el severo sistema frontal que afecta a la zona centro-sur del país. El trágico suceso se registró cerca de las 16:40 horas en la ruta que conecta Panguipulli con Lican Ray, en el sector de Pata de Gallo. Debido a las intensas precipitaciones y ráfagas de viento, la estructura arbórea colapsó e impactó directamente al automóvil, provocando la muerte del conductor y del copiloto. La información fue confirmada de manera oficial por el subsecretario del Interior, Máximo Pavez, tras liderar una mesa técnica nacional en la sede central del Servicio Nacional de Prevención y Respuesta ante Desastres (Senapred). «Quisiéramos, en primer lugar, dar cuenta como Gobierno del fallecimiento de dos personas el día de hoy en el contexto de este evento meteorológico en la Región de Los Ríos, en la ruta que une Panguipulli con Lican Ray; tras la caída de un árbol, dos personas que iban a bordo de un vehículo fallecieron», señaló la autoridad. «Es un procedimiento que se encuentra llevándose a efecto y adelante por Carabineros de Chile y es la información oficial que podemos dar y que representan las primeras víctimas de este evento.
