The Sweden branch of the National Association of Eritrean War Disabled Veterans and youth residing in Israel pledge to boost contribution in support of the families of martyrs and war disabled veterans. Asmara, 24 January 2019 - The Sweden branch of the National Association of Eritrean War Disabled Veterans and youth residing in Israel pledge to boost contribution in support of the families of martyrs and war disabled veterans. According to report, at the event they organized on 19 January, Eritrean youth grouped in “Finote Semaetat” association contributed 15,750 Dollars in support of families of martyrs. The group had already assumed responsibility of supporting 250 families of martyrs. Speaking at the occasion, the Charge d’Affairs at the Eritrean Embassy in Israel, Mr. Solomon Kinfe expressed appreciation for the initiative the nationals are taking. In the same vein, the National Association of Eritrean War Disabled Veterans branch in Sweden organized a program in connection with the International Day of the Disabled under the theme “Pledge for Bright Future”. At the event the nationals contributed 24 thousand Kroner in support of the war disabled veterans. The Chairman of the branch association, Mr. Tekeste Fesehaye indicated that effort will be exerted to design income generating projects to enable the war disabled veterans become self supportive and productive members of the society. Likewise, the YPFDJ organization in South Sudan organized capacity upgrading training for its members. Read more
