A solemn opening of an electronic library and work-study workshop for the specialties turner, carpenter and car mechanician on the basis of vocational lyceum No. 62 of Kurshab village of Uzgen region and vocational lyceum No. 58 of Jany Nookat village of Nookat region of Osh oblast took place on February 18. The opening of training workshops is aimed at improving the system of primary vocational education in the regions of the country. The event was attended by representatives of the state regional administration of Nookat and Uzgen regions, the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Osh, the Agency for Primary Vocational Education under the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic, local government bodies, partner organizations and local residents. Training in the work-study workshop will be held according to a new model with provision of paid services for the population, which will contribute to the further employment of students, as well as support for the internal self-financing of the Lyceum. “We hope that this method of organizing the educational process will improve the situation with youth employment and make a significant contribution to improving the socio-economic conditions for the sustainable development of the regions of Kyrgyzstan,” Agency for Primary Vocational Education curator in Osh oblast Nematkan Abjalieva told. Vocational lyceums No. 58 and No. 62 have been working closely with the UNDP program since 2016. As part of the program, vocational lyceums received computer equipment for creating an electronic library, teaching materials for teachers, equipment and equipment for organizing the work-study workshop, for a total of $ 144 thousand 3, with financial support from the Government of the Russian Federation.
