A Yishun resident was surprised when he recently discovered that his neighbours were rearing chickens. The man surnamed Chen, who lives in Block 429A in Orchid Spring @ Yishun, told Lianhe Zaobao that he heard chickens crowing while he was at home on June 18. He did not find any chickens when he went downstairs to investigate. The next day, the 41-year-old technician discovered the source of the noise — a makeshift chicken coop in the nearby community garden, which is on the roof of a multi-story car park. Photos taken by Chen show that the coop, made up of several wooden boards, is placed inside a fenced area. It houses at least five Silkie chickens. A signboard attached to the fence reads «Uncle and auntie's chicken farm, everyone is welcomed to come and visit». It also includes instructions for visitors to help replenish the animals' water and feed, as well as reminders to keep their hands clean and avoid touching items in the chicken coop. Two regular chickens can also be seen inside a storage container beside the coop.

국가정보원의 대공수사권 폐지를 주도했던 더불어민주당이 국정원의 조사 권한까지 없애는 방안을 추진한다. 5일 이기헌 의원실에 따르면 이 이원은 안보범죄에 관한 국가정보원의 조사권과 사실조회 및 자료제출 요구권을 폐지하는 내용을 골자로 하는 국가정보원법 개정안을 지난 3일 대표 발의했다. 개정안은 국정원이 안보 범죄와 관련한 정보를 수집할 때 필요한 현장조사·문서열람·시료 채취·자료제출요구·진술요청 등의 조사권을 폐지하는 내용을 담았다. 해당법에서 명시하고 있는 안보 범죄의 유형은 국가보안법을 위반한 안보침해행위, 산업경제정보 유출 행위, 국가 배후 해킹조직에 의한 사이버안보 위협 등이 있다. 또 다른 국가기관에 대해 이들 안보 범죄 사실의 조회·확인, 자료의 제출 등을 요구할 수 권한을 없애고, 안보 범죄에 관련된 정보를 취득한 때에는 대공수사권을 보유한 수사기관에게 범죄정보를 제공하는 등 협력할 의무를 부여했다. 아울러 국정원이 수집한 정보를 신원조회를 위해 활용하는 것을 금지한다고 명시했다.

The granting of citizenship was issued as part of a royal order granting Saudi citizenship to people with distinguished legal, medical, scientific, cultural, sports and technical expertise for the benefit of the nation in various fields.

AMMAN: Saudi aid agency KSrelief has signed an agreement to implement a project to support 1,000 Syrian orphans and their host communities in Jordan. The police, in consultation with the Attorney-General’s Chambers, have given the 32-year-old man a stern warning on July 2 under the Police Force Act 2004. Under the Police Force Act 2004, it is an offence for a person who is not a police officer to wear or possess any police uniform, or to use any police insignia, knowing that any member of the public may believe that he or she is a police officer. If found guilty, the person can be jailed for up to six months, or fined up to $2,500, or both. The Straits Times reported on June 18 that a white multi-purpose vehicle had decals with the word “polite” instead of “police”.
