상품권 예약판매를 가장해 저신용자들에게 돈을 빌려주고 연 수천%의 이자를 챙긴 혐의를 받는 대부업자가 경찰에 적발됐다. 경북 구미경찰서는 대부업법 위반과 무고 혐의로 남성 대부업자(42)를 불구속 송치했다고 6일 밝혔다.경찰에 따르면 이 대부업자는 올해 1, 2월 금융권 대출이 어려운 저신용자들에게 12만 원~55만 원 상당을 빌려준 뒤 약 일주일 만에 원금과 이자를 받아내는 방식으로 불법 대부업을 한 혐의다. 적용된 연이율이 많게는 4866.7%에 달한 것으로 조사됐다. 이 대부업자는 돈을 먼저 지급한 뒤 원리금에 해당하는 금액을 상품권으로 돌려받는 ‘상품권 예약판매’ 방식으로 대부계약을 체결했다. 피해자들이 원금과 이자를 가상계좌로 보내면 이를 상품권으로 바꿔 수익을 챙기는 방식이었다. 또 대출 과정에서 피해자의 얼굴과 신분증을 함께 촬영한 사진과 지인 연락처 등을 받아뒀다가, 돈을 갚지 않은 피해자를 상대로 자신이 물품 사기를 당한 것처럼 허위 고소한 것으로 조사됐다.
