In Kyrgyzstan has great potential for the development of green economy, primarily in the field of renewable energy resources, ecotourism, agro-industry, waste recycling, etc., Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Kyrgyzstan Monika Iversen told at the Green Economy Forum in Bishkek. She noted that Germany is ready to support Kyrgyzstan in this difficult process. “Today’s forum is a dialogue between the government, parliament and the private sector. This dialogue is necessary. I am particularly pleased that the forum was initiated by the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic,” she said. Speaking about the support of Germany in this direction, Monika Iversen noted that assistance is provided at various levels, ranging from consulting to developing a strategy, to establishing investment channels in the private sector. “We are pleased to join the initiative to develop a green economy program until 2023. The forum is an excellent format for discussion,” she added.
